Network Plus Funds Lifesaving Defibrillator for Busy North Somerset Community Hub

New publicly accessible defibrillator installed at North Somerset Sports Foundation will support thousands of players, spectators and local residents each year.

Network Plus has strengthened its commitment to community wellbeing by funding the installation of a new publicly accessible defibrillator at the North Somerset Sports Foundation (NSSF), providing potentially lifesaving equipment at one of the region's busiest sporting venues.

The new device will be available not only to the thousands of people who regularly use the sports complex, but also to members of the wider community, including walkers, cyclists and visitors travelling through the surrounding rural area.

Supporting a Growing Community Hub

The North Somerset Sports Foundation has become a focal point for grassroots sport and community activity, supporting more than 1,800 footballers, gym members, students and staff throughout the year.

The site is also home to Clevedon Town Football Club, attracting hundreds of supporters on matchdays and hosting a wide range of sporting and community events.

With large numbers of people visiting the venue every week, the addition of a publicly accessible defibrillator significantly strengthens emergency response capability should someone suffer a cardiac arrest.

The installation is particularly important given the site's rural setting, where immediate access to emergency medical equipment can be limited.
